Why renters specifically

Most smart-home coverage online is written for homeowners who can drill, wire, and permanently mount whatever they like. That advice doesn’t translate well to a rented apartment, a shared house, or a dorm room, where drilling a hole can mean losing part of a deposit or breaking a lease agreement. NoDrillSmart exists to cover the version of smart-home living that actually applies to renters: adhesive mounts instead of screws, plug-in devices instead of hardwiring, and products that come with you when you move rather than staying behind in the wall.

The problem we’re trying to solve
